Job DescriptionInterns will work both in the office and assist planners on the day of the event. Office duties involve working with all forms of the company’s social media (blogging, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc). They will also assist with event planning aspects, such as creating and revising timelines, vendor contact information, floor plans or layouts, and designs and concepts. Interns will be asked to contact vendors and clients when necessary, either over the phone or via email. Interns will have the opportunity to sit in on meetings with both clients and vendors.
Day of event duties involve helping set up the event as well as coordinating with vendors during set up and break down of the event. They will assist the planners in providing coordination and management to ensure success. Finally, interns will follow the detailed schedule of the event and help meet all client needs during and after the event. Interns skills should include extreme attention to detail and organization. The ability to stay on track, handle multiple responsibilities, and learn quickly all in a fast paced environment is preferred. Working well with others and strong communication skills are important. Must be able to work quickly and efficiently while taking the initiative to start and complete projects with minimum supervision.
